Karah Jones Turnage, 61, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at the Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman.
Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death by her husband Emmitt Turnage; parents, James Howard Jones and Willie Steadman Jones; and brother, Galon Jones.
She is survived by sons, Todd Turnage of Starkville and Toby Turnage of Columbus; sister, Carolyn Adams of Manassas, Va.; brothers, Thomas Jones and Lavon Jones of Ackerman; and grandchildren Clay, Hunter, Mackenzie, and Aiden Turnage.
Mrs. Turnage was a former employee of the Starkville Daily News and was a member of New Life Worship Center.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 till 8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church cemetery. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi Inc.
